Once again I ask... Where is our mayor? He held no news conferences when Junior was stabbed and killed. Ignored it.

Now three people shot in one night.... No where to be seen.

Those of you who voted him in twice, any regrets? Probably not because you are blind to reality.
No regrets. I gladly voted him over Lhota. Policing alone was never going to clear up NY’s disaster.

Another female in the Bronx stabbed in a deli and died

16 year old boy shot in the head in bed stuy and died

All happened yesterday Afternoon.

I’m used to crime happening at night but it’s a bit surprising so many shootings and killings are happening in broad daylight. Haven’t seen this behavior in years, there must be an uptick in gangs activity that the city isn’t talking about

Can we create the old Crime Thread? I remember in the past we had a yearly sticky thread called "2011 Official NYC Crime Thread" then 2012 and so on..

Time to Make NYC Forum Great Again.

Anyone have available crime stats for this year so far? Is it a noticeable uptick compared with prior years?

Two weeks ago it was on roll but slowing down I think they increase presence in The South Bronx which was driving city numbers.

You can look at the NYPD Compstat, which shows YTD statistics for these things

Relax, it's only the 1980s without the crack

If you've been thru it before, then you can go thru it again

Nobody want to go back to 1980s crime without what made the 80s actually fun. This city doesn’t have 80s era character. And people aren’t living in housing and rental prices of the 80s either.
