Uber Copter

Tired of traffic and crowded trains Uber now offer helicopter service from Lower Manhattan to LGA and JFK as test project starting July 9th. Uber will launch full service in 2 or 3 years from various locations in the city call Uber Elevate.

Oh boy!

Anything uber should be carefully looked at and a evaluation should be done. Uber effffd the yellow cab, green cab, black car, basically screwing everyone else. Are these the jobs the government counts as new?

Could see it now, uber's helicopters parked who knows where, waiting for a fare.

Reminds me of a documentary about businessmen taking helicopter cabs in Brazil.

That's a good deal. Consider an executive flying business class to London on a $3500 ticket, that $200 chopper ride isn't much more expensive than someone paying $60 for a cab to take a $700 flight

Snap, can’t imagine a drunk pilot on the air. Nothing you can do but to jump off the air and hope for the best.

This seems terribly unfair. It will make things very difficult for all the NYC freelance helicopter pilots who are splitting their time between flying copters and driving taxis and waiting tables.
