Under BDB, NY cops have had enough deaths. This is an anti-cop era in NYC, which BDB fits in with well, in terms of ideology. My preference would be to see a massive quantity of good, urban cops to quit the force. They are under attack, and their lives will remain in danger. I do not think an ungrateful citizenry is deserving of protection.

What about the grateful ones?

If you think it's Shake Shack, then do you think they did a fine job of fooling NYPD to declare such or do you think somehow they're in cahoots with NYPD? It's an odd, vague accusation you want to levy, but you want to do a boycott anyhow. That's impressive. Are you boycotting Shake Shack and the NYPD? How do you propose to do the latter?
I wfh now, not NYC at this time, but intend to boycott Shake Shack. I id like their food, but this is 100% unacceptable.

Anyone can suspect all they wish, btw. Conjecture all they wish.

Overcome the ungrateful vast majority. Take back NYC from the anarchists given free rein last week.

Yea, and that’s the problem. There’s a lot of going on and people are tense. Instead of thinking things through, they’ll have kneejerk reactions like yours in response to other kneejerk reactions. So you’re now in this odd spot of boycotting a restaurant from a belief that almost necessarily requires that a police department full of good apples can and will cover up crimes and explicitly declare there is no criminality when you are certain there is. It’s you against the NYPD’s words.

Of course, there could be a followup that reverses it, but no, you’re instead going for not an error but a conspiracy. Fantastic.

This.

Now if does come out that those shake shack employees deliberately did this, I still wouldn't boycott them. It's not Shake Shack's fault that those employees would have done what they did. This can happen at any food establishment.

I am boycotting as no matter the root cause, this is unacceptable. Corps cannot allow this to occur. I'm a firm believer in safeguards in place, not after an event, from day 1.

If Shake Shack’s management was all “heck yes we poison police!”, then I would definitely boycott them even if it turned out there was no crime. However, I’m pretty sure that’s not happening.

I disagree. If it can occur, management needs to be replaced. The buck needs to stop at the top of the location org chart.

Nypd cleared shake shack after a “thorough investigation”. Keep in holding on to your conspiracy theories if it makes you feel better. I go with official statements from people who do this for a living.

At worst, it would be that specific location's fault, not the entire Shake Shack org management. C'mon

But it seems NYPD cleared Shake Shack of any wrongdoing, so this is all moot.
