Someone from any of the 5 boroughs please reply and give me your thoughts on this matter.
Add another one to the list. Is Philly stealing a little shine off that NYC lustre?

Why do people keep showing Philly's LAME @SS SKYLINE? WHY? For a city as big as Philly is, it's skyline is pathetic! Pittsburgh's skyline is more dramatic than Philly's. Also, Pittsburgh skyline is ranked 19th in the world. Thank you very much........... P.S. "Stealing a little shine off NYC'S Luster"? I will AGREE with you, that there is ALOT of STEALING going on in PHILLY. But more in the line of old ladies' purses and cars, rather than any shine off NYC's luster!

Phillys skyline obliterates Pittsburghs. Come on now. I guess from Mt washington area there is a certain charm about Pitts skyline but from the other 359 degrees of the circle it could be confused with Louisville or Little Rock.

Stillers get rolled next week.

Here is a mans man skyline.

I like how the whole skyline of Pittsburgh wasnt shown. Where's the PPG towers? Would you do, cut the photo? Anybody who's ever been to both cities knows the difference. Looking down at downtown Pittsburgh from MT. Washington, or DRIVING thru the FT. Pitt tunnels, then BANG the city's right on TOP of you. I did say more "DRAMATIC" if you reread my post. Look at wiki and scoll down when they show the 'panoramic view' of it. A few yrs back, the view of downtown Pittsburgh from MT. Washington, was rated the most "BEAUTIFUL VIEW in AMERICA". It was late 03' I believe they had that rated. Im not even say that I agree with ALL that, but it still blows Philly away I know that!

Watch out 'Geek Squad'! LOL As you can see from the photo that I posted, he cut out half the skyline of Pittsburgh in his pic.

P.S. Once you clicked onto the photo, and the picture is showing, double click on it. The Photo becomes more clear and you can even slide the image a little to the right, for more panoramic view.

I'm still in NYC. The people I know that have made the move have done it for several reasons. The most important is that they still work in NYC. A few were already living in NJ closer to the PA borders just to get quality housing that they could afford, now that the children are grown, there is no reason to stay in the suburbs. Philly has a lot cultural things like NYC, they were already shopping a lot in the PA malls, property taxes are lower and the short commute to NY for work and recreation. The commute is shorter than the commute that most of them had from NJ.

DC to NYC commute would be too far I think.
