I keep hearing how theres a hiring quota that the san.dept or city has to satisfy from test 6063...does anyone know what number this is?...my list number is in the mid 1400's..wondering if the extension to 2014 will make adifference also?
thanks!
I emailed Doherty asking that very same question a couple of weeks ago.
No response from any of his "assistants" yet. I think this is just another rumor because nobody has given a definite answer
as to what the quota if it really exists is. Maybe Nespoli would know? Forget about asking DCAS, that is like talking to a wall.
Dont want to sound like a broken record and i know its just a guess but would anyone have a good idea how far into the list numbers they would end up from this list since its extended to 2014?....im in the 1400's and this wait is the worst!
Does anyone know when the next sanitation civil service exam will take place? Also, what kind of a criminal record will disqualify you from becoming a sanitation worker?

The next DSNY exam is supposed to be in about 2 years, late spring or
early summer of 2013. As for your 2nd question it has been said on here
before that they will hire you if you have a criminal record, there are ex murderers on the job.
The worst thing that you can do is to lie on your paperwork about anything because they will investigate you during and even after your probation.
how many do they have to call to get 300? assuming it happens.
Well they hired 300 off this list so far and reached number 642 so if they hire another 300 then figure somewhere around 1284 give or take
