There was an article a couple of weeks ago about 2 Mitchell lama building that were audited. The article said people were passed for no reason and others moved to the top of the list for no reason. You guys should read the article when you have a moment.

I was there on Friday. One of the girls in the office was very close to the tenant. They were having a private conversation In Spanish. With the 1 bedroom I saw that 1 internal move will happen next. An elder person from one of the top floor needs to be moved down. This peron was added to the list in July. After that person, 5 veterans are on the list and then there are 25 people ahead of me. There is now way I think the list will move this year. I think most people are thinking like me. Just wait because the list wait list is short for us that are in the 30s.

I have another home visit scheduled for next week. I filled out another application and will have another credit check done. Crédit check and home visit are good for 6 months. I think my last one was done about ten months ago. I am hoping something will be available soon since I am doing credit check and home check now I hope to hear something definitely with in next 6 months.

@Bronxvet

If you're doing a home and credit check then that means that they have a unit for you. Otherwise that's just a waste of your time and money. As far as I know you are able to see the apartment and then have to do the credit/home check and gather the documentation needed.

Best of luck to you !

@lnycnyc

I hate to agree with you but you have at least a year. Hopefully it's a breeze.

I would love to read that article that you referenced. Can you provide the link?

They are called Village View and they do have a website - Village View Site. I'm pretty sure that there is a ton of information in this forum if you do a search.

Good luck to you

Hello,

We are number 131 and the management said they are still on #3. I'm not sure how this works though. Does that mean there are 128 ahead of me?

If you read through this thread you will a length discussion on this.
Basically if 10 applications are mailed out and only 4 applications are mailed back Lets say numbers 1, 3, 7, 10. If you have number 10 you remain number 10 but there are only 3 people ahead of you. I believe the list is posted in the office. you may want to stop by and see how many are head of you. But from your number there might me quite a bit. I'm pretty sure some with a similar number to yours posted how many people are a head of them. You need to read the thread to find that information.

Good Luck on your wait
