I don't know. They don't specify the limit if you only have 2 people for a 1BR. I make about $65k, she makes about $20k. For Inwood Terrace they tell you to subtract up to $20k from the secondary wage earner's income on the application, so I'm still good there

You should be fine for Masaryk. Have you been on the Inwood Terrace list long? The building looks pretty nice I actually walk by it everyday and I was nosey one day and went into the lobby to look around (lol)...and its really clean and nice int he lobby. Not sure if I am going to apply though because the area is iffy. I like Masaryk a lot better but that might be because I am very familiar with the area and used to live around there.

How am I fine for Masaryk when the higher income limits are for families with a higher number of occupants? I've been on the Inwood Terrace list since they put the ad in the newspaper last summer. It's only moved 4 spots since then! I'm no expert but I feel Inwood is probably safer than living between a million projects

I cant find the ad but I believe it said for a onw bdrm limit was 96k, you said you and her make about 85k combined so thats why I said you should be fine. Inwood is not bad I would live there even though that area is HEAVY in drugs. But masaryk is more desireable just because it is lower manhattan, close to trains and buses, walking distance to nice neighborhoods etc. property is more desireable there then in Inwood. I have lived in Inwood before so I would live there again just prefer lower manhattan
I believe you can only make 96k if you have 3 occupants. The income range they give isn't min-max, it's max(1 person) - max(3 people)
So maybe in wrong then. From my understanding it was 30k-96k fr a one bdrm and you can have one to three occupants. But I didnt know it was dependent on how many people were in the apartment. I just thought lets say if youre one person you have to be in between 30 and 96.
I live in a lottery building and the income limit was like that min to max and it didnt matter how many people I had on the application , just as long as I didnt go over the max income.

Just found the ad online. It says 30-96k one bedroom one to three people allowed then it says the income min and max depends on how many people in the household. So I think youll be fine with yourself and your gf combined income because you guys didnt go over the 96

These are the general limits from off HPD's site, although it also says " In addition, each development sets its own restrictions and limitations." I know the max for a studio (1-2 people) in the last lottery was $61K but the monthly charge for those apartments is about 60% of what they charge for a 1 bed (plus limits may have been adjusted after the Census as AMI's go up) so I think the income limits for the 1 beds are very likely what is set forth below.
Quote:
For all non-federally-assisted and federally-assisted cooperative developments an applicant's adjusted annual household income must not exceed the limit below
