Does or did your father or husband make comments if he sees, lets say a cheerleader, when they zoom in at a football game? Or if there is a sexy lady on the cover of a magazine.
My father-in-law will make a comment to me in front of his wife and daughters in their 40's. I always say that I didn't notice. I don't want to be part of that kind of talking with him, especially with his wife and daughters around. Even if they weren't, I wouldn't. I find it extremely inappropriate.
EWW. You'd think people would have more pride than to do some nasty stuff like that. But they don't. So I always make it a habit of mentioning hot guys in front of people who do such things. It makes them stop.
My maternal grandfather, I found him looking at my Victoria's Secret catalog with my grandmother. He was whistling, and my grandma said in her very grandmotherly voice, "Oh, that one's very pretty." I think I was 17. TMI GRANDPARENTS. But it was endearing. My grandpa's gone now, and I still smile at the memory of him whistling at the pictures with my grandma.
No, and any man that would comment on another woman's looks (in a salacious way), in front of their wife or daughter is immature and pitifully classless. My father respected women and would never have made tacky remarks about them in front of me or my mother. The most he might have said was, "Boy, that Sophia Loren is a beautiful woman," or something like that. But leering at cheerleaders or stuff like that? Not a chance.
I never heard my father say anything inappropriate or make any kind of comment about women.
I had a neighbor, about my fathers age, that could not open his mouth without something inappropriate coming out of it. I always felt bad for his daughter although it didnt seem to bother her. If that had been my father I would have been looking for a rock to crawl under.
