I can put a puppy in a cage for 8 hours while I am at work and not be arrested for it...I think that ups the cute factor.

Probably cheaper to upkeep a dog than a baby.

Plus you can get dogs fixed so they don't have kids at 14 or 15 and stick you with something else to provide for.

Puppies can never grow up and sue you for everything you did wrong.

Caring for a human baby is no comparison to a dog. Yes, you can love a pet because they are part of your family but you don't need parenting skills. I call my puppy and cat my fur babies but I would never compare raising a child to having pets. Are you actually serious asking this question?

Not probably...it IS. If you have childrenn then you would know what it cost to birth the baby and all the prenatal visits. Nevermind diapers, formula, pediatrician, keeping up with the lastest fashions and electronics, proms, cars, school tuitions. My dog is happy with an empty water bottle and an ice cube. A bag of food costs me maybe $10 a week or every other week.

8 hours?? Actually, if you keep the puppy in a crate that long, it could be considered inhumane. I went to a shelter to adopt a puppy and when we told them the puppy would be alone for a maximum of 6 hours, they turned us down.

OP, do you understand now? 6 posts after yours pretty much should have answered your question.
