Did you want to date her?

I know at least one woman in my circle of friends like that. Countless mutual friends have taken her aside and suggested that she talk less and listen more. Others have bluntly told her that she talks too much.

At this point I've decided to be polite when cornered, but to otherwise avoid her.

I went as far as standing in the slowest and only other open lane at the grocery store last night, rather than getting in line behind her. Seems everyone in the store had the same unspoken idea. There were five people in our lane and no one else in hers.

True story: My ex-SO's brother's ex-SO used to talk herself to sleep. She would talk and talk and talk until she drifted off.

When I heard that, all I could think of was the line from The Great Gatsby, edited to fit the gender: Somebody told me they thought he killed a woman once.

Is there a reason you couldn't just walk away? She was a stranger, right?

Dealt with how?
Are you a Gap employee and she a customer?
Vice versa?
Both of you shoppers?

Knowing the dynamic would help....
