Default People in NC are still fighting the Civil War

It may not be as backwards as the deep south, but its still prevalent.

Do you have an actual point to make, or are you just trying to start a troll war?

You live in Raleigh, so Im surprised you would be with how progressive Raleigh is getting with the influx of northern transplants.

If it is "Actually a fact" then we would expect to see soldiers in Blue or Gray firing guns, "still fighting the Civil War". UM, I don't think so.

I think it's safe to say we all travel as far as we can get on our tractors.

Yee-haw.

Seriously, the OP is living in a pretty rural area. People in the Triange, Charlotte, Asheville, Triad, Wilmington area (in particular) are more likely to be people who have done a great deal of traveling outside NC.

People from rural areas travel, also. My grandmother, who lived in rural Nash County, never drove a car, and never traveled much until she was retirement age, really loved going to new places once she got over her anxiety about being far from home. So, if she did it, I'd imagine MANY others do as well.

It's also interesting to me when people like the OP pretend to know everyone in the state.
