Lennar Multifamily plans show high-rise building in First Ward | The Charlotte Observer
30 floor apartment tower announced. And the article mentioned another 20 floor apartment tower that started construction I was unaware of.
Gonna see if I can recall the buildings recently completed starting with Element with estimates above 15 floors and the ones with concrete construction dates:
Residential/Hotel
Element: ~23 floors
Skyhouse I: ~23 floors
Skyhouse II: ~ 23 floors
Ascent: ~ 33 Floors
Museum Tower: ~43 Floors (447 feet tall)
42 Market: ~30 Floors
Stonewall Whole Foods: ~23 Floors
Northwood Ravin: ~ 22 Floors
AC Hotel: ~ 25 Floors
300 So. Tryon hotel: ~ 25 floors
Tryon Place hotel: ~25 floors
Hotel on Hornets arena: ~ 17 floors
Office (separate because they are significantly taller than residential. 43 floor Museim tower is 477 ft.)
Lincoln Harris: 30 floors, 588 Feet tall
300 South Tryon: ~27 floors, 475 Feet tall
Tryon Place: ~25 floors, ~450 feet tall
315 So. College: ~19 foors, 300 Feet tall
All that highrise development should be complete and within 2015-2020
- Blue Line to university will open August. UC looks amazing.
- I think Gold Line extension will be done by 2020. Construction already started.
Lots of retail conversions and retail rumors (as I've mentioned before the urban mall). Publix and WholeFoods are building literally within highrise portion of uptown. Harris Teeter is rumored to be anchoring another part of uptown with a full size grocer.
