It would only take 4 democrats in the House to override Perdue's veto in the first place. The Senate has a built in majority to override the veto. I think our fastest fix is to contact those 5 Democrats and see if they'd be willing to override the veto so we can get some immediate help. I am sure they don't like Perdue's arrogant statements that she is confident that they'll take her side when the budget hits her desk (already a forewarning that she has no intentions of compromise.)

[LEFT]Five House Democrats voted with Republicans on the GOP-authored budget, giving the plan a 72-47, veto-proof majority.
House Democrats have stayed together on some other controversial bills, but this vote could be an early indication that Republicans would be able to override a Perdue budget veto.
Four of the Democrats, Reps. Bill Brisson, Jim Crawford, Dewey Hill, and Tim Spear voted for Republican Thom Tillis to be House Speaker and are always considered potential crossover votes. Rep. Bill Owens joined them in voting for the budget.

Those 5 would be: William.Brisson@ncleg.net, Jim.Crawford@ncleg.net, Dewey.Hill@ncleg.net, Bill.Owens@ncleg.net, Tim.Spear@ncleg.net and the bill to override the veto on is H383

Please write these 5 Democratic swing votes in the House and ask them to override Perdue's veto of House Bill 383. It's our quickest resolution.

William.Brisson@ncleg.net
Jim.Crawford@ncleg.net
Dewey.Hill@ncleg.net
Tim.Spear@ncleg.net
Bill.Owens@ncleg.net
