Hopefully your son will be fine, just because it's old; does not mean it is dead! Heck; I just got another job! I was trying to tell another poster there were jobs available and I applied and got one at 72 years old!

LOL. He might actually want to work on Monday for double time. No choice, though, because they're closed. There's nothing in particular wrong with it, but on a drive out of state isn't the best time to find out.

Today will be my Monday and I am scheduled to work until next Saturday - then I will be off Saturday and Sunday and only have to work five days! But that is my old (current job); my new job doesn't start until July 1st - probably just in time to work through the Fourth!

It all pays the bills and even a little extra!

Yes, it was. He was a very bright guy. He participated in the music program at GAR, our high school in Wilkes-Barre, and graduated from IUP with excellent grades. He was a really nice person.

A guy I was dating at the time had bought his car. He didn't know Walt and I didn't know the car because it was newer. He said, "This guy deployed to Lebanon and his parents (maybe his brother) were selling it for him because he'll probably be gone for a couple of years. Or longer...

Fisheye, something happened to his truck while he was away, but at least he was still in Fayetteville. His friend is a helicopter mechanic, works on his own car, and lives one mile from an auto parts store. It took six hours, but they fixed it. I think about 30% of that time, though, was spent cooling off in the air conditioned house chugging fluids. It's hot down there.

It's going to be cold! Well, cold enough for me. My son lives in Pine Hill, NJ, and it going to be 46 degrees there there tomorrow night. I remember that it was very chilly in June of 1972 leading up to Agnes. Just a couple of days. It was really hot and humid during the cleanup.

We have two cooler days before we heat up again. When it comes to NC what many don't realize is that they have mountains twice as high as PA in the western part of the State. Of course the higher you go; the cooler it gets. Even Mexico City's temperatures are moderated by their elevation since they are above 7,000 feet. Considering they are so far south one would think they would be a lot warmer.
