Martz used to have a bus into Newark, I believe, a year ago or so. Not enough riders so they discontinued.

Wow I was wondering the same thing but based on the first few comments I guess you ask a stupid person you get a stupid answer. Usually the answers from those with such negative responses are those who have never been to Newark NJ and are giving responses based on what they have heard and not seen and if it is something that they have see in Newark then please point me to the land of makebelieve that they live in where the streets are painted with gold and the little lollipop kids rome with the good witch Glenda because I have yet to find a perfect town. They should check there list of sex offenders and domestic violence and child abuse reports in there area to see just how perfect there town is.

Newark Ironbound is much nicer than Wilkes Barre.

hi, Been working in Newark for 25 years and not an incident. Some people live in a sheltered small world, they should grow up. Im considering moving to Pa. and am also looking for public trans. There is nothing from NJT and nothing from Martz Bus. I will be going from East Stroudsburg to Newark during regular working hours.

You may have to drive to Hackettstown, Mount Arlington, or Dover in NJ and then catch the train.

I just checked NJ transit's website, and if you want to take a bus from Dover Station to Broad St. in Newark you have to change twice, once in Morristown and once at Willowbrook Mall.

P.S. This thread is originally from 2008 and gets dredged up now and again. I'd like to suggest that if any has a new question about commuting to Newark they start a new thread!
