THAT is exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks, Dan. Dude had access to something, and helped out his neighbors. Good on him. I bet he wasn't looking to get paid, or even get thanked, he just tried to help out, and his efforts wer clearly appreciated. More examples of that--simply doing a good turn--for much smaller things, even, would be a welcome change in the area. Like some countries have cumpulsory military service, maybe every NEPA resident should be required to spend some time in the Boy Scouts.

Instead of depending on the city to take care of every little thing, lets take care of some stuff ourselves that we can take care of. People need to learn to be a little more self sufficient instead of just blaming the government.

That was probably the best tasting case of beer he'd had in quite a while.

NO ONE said the City NEVER does it. It may take some time, but that's life. Learn to deal with it. Quit being such a god damn baby and grow up. And you haven't met a point yet that you didn't miss, have you? The point was, if everyone that could did a just little bit extra for their neighbor, like plowing one extra block, or returning their neighbor's trash bins to the yard, or something little like that, it would all add up and make this a better place. Then idiots like you might not have such a hard on for city bashing.

Yeah, I'll take my suspension, or whatever. I've just finally had it with Ed and his idiocy.
I was agreeing with you and then you blow up at me. What the hell is wrong with you? Don't tell me to stop posting here either. And I'll move when I'm ready. What's your problem man? I don't appreciate being called an idiot. All I know is whenever there's a snow storm here in West side, I rarely see a city plow. That's all I was saying. I wasn't being a baby. Think back to the Valentine's Day storm, how long it took for streets to be plowed. It should not take a week for a street to be plowed, I'm sorry. The whole point was I was agreeing with you about helping neighbors out and not always relying on the city. I guess you missed my point. And we were getting along so good.

What's your problem? You read way too much into things. I was agreeing with you. That's nice with the name calling. Can't talk in an reasonable way, so call people names. Brilliant.

And I have been referring to and quoting just one part of your post for three exchanges now. You should ought to learn to read for comprehension.

"I was agreeing with you." You keep saying that like it's supposed to lessen my contempt for your posts. Big flippin' deal, you agreed with one of my posts. Do you want a snausage or someting? I really couldn't care any less if you agree with me or not. I don't care how you feel about anything to be perfectly honest with you. "I agree" is probably a key on your computer. You type that more than anything else. Means jack to me.

You have contempt for a lot of us on this forum. Dan and Paul come to mind. I have discussions with other members and may disagree, but I never call them names. I don't go down to your level. I try and respect fellow posters. But the whole point of my original post on this particular topic was that I agreed with you about neighbors helping out in their neighborhood and you went off on my for no reason. Sorry if I typed "agree" too much, I was just trying to make you understand and I guess you still don't. I guess you didn't take your Prozac today.

I'm done with this argument. This is silly anyway to be bickering back and forth on this forum. I don't know you and you don't know me. Who knows, if I knew you we might be the best of friends. You can't get too emotional about opinions stated here. It's all right to disagree and that's it. That's all you had to do. Respectfully disagree with me and that's it. But you had to turn it into name calling. Remember, what opinions are like....we all have one. So have a nice day. Over and out.

I think a group hug may be needed. Our old friend needs some loving.
