Default Who Do NEPA Residents Favor In Sports...NY or Philly

I was curious about the demographic sporting trends in NEPA.

For the following areas...what is the split?
Is it more NY or PHI fans in
A. Monroe County
B. Pike County
C. Areas of Stroudsburg/Hazelton/Scranton

I would assume these areas would largely favor NY teams given they are closer to NY, get NY stations, and have more ties to to NYC if not NY/NJ state than Philly.
Afterall...people do commute from these areas to Northern NJ/NY...so logically it'd make sense they'd go for the teams in those areas.
Is this the case...and if not why?
Do you expect in the coming years NY's influence to expand?

In the areas near Hazleton it seems as though the Eagles have a pretty strong fan base. I know Schuylkill County is home to a vast majority of Philadelphia fans (I know Schuylkill Co. is not what you asked for but it is near by)

As a JERSEY BOY!! lol I'm a Yankee Fan.. but the people in NEPA are seeming Philly Crazy.

EVERYONE i work with is a Eagles fan or A Steelers Fan.

and although most of them dont watch baseball; those who do root for the phillies.

NY Giants and Jets have little fan base out here -- mostly people who moved from NJ/NY

Mets have a small fan base for the same reason.

Yankees Fan base is slowly growing thanks to the NJ/NY Migration westward; along with the Yankees AAA team based in NEPA (used to be the Phillies AAA Team)

Lots of Flyers fans; but theres a good number of Devils fans out here as well (just about anywhere you go theres alot of devils fans :-D as long as no one is rooting for the rangers!)

and for Soccer (i'll put this in because im a huge fan of soccer .. italian blood ) Neither the New York Red Bulls or the new team in Philadelphia who start play in 2010 have ANY fan base here.. because most NEPAites do not care for soccer whatsoever. Which i hope begins to change.

NBA... I cant say any team has a big fan base here; as many i've met do not follow basketball.

All in All... Seemingly Nepa residents root Philly over NJ/NY

Philly all the way! Though I notice way too many Miami Dolphin fans around here, but most of them are the type that have had the same dolphins jacket for a few decades now and aren't fans of bathing. I'm not saying they are all that way!! Just most that I see at work and around town, hehe

I'm in Luzerne County and am a fan of:

Pittsburgh Penguins
Philadelphia Phillies
Philadelphia Eagles
I don't really follow basketball much, but I'd have to give the edge to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Everybody you see up here is a NY fan though.
