Beautiful. Love the fall ones - but I'm biased as that's my favorite season!

I cant seem to download them the way I like.

I am trying to take great pics like you MJ but I cannot seem to get what you get. These two pics are probably the best I have taken. I am thinking about taking a photography class but at the rate I am going I will be in school for the rest of my life, lol.

Great pictures...thanks...I miss the 4 seasons...like you say, Florida has kinda 2 seasons...one is bareable and one is horrifically hot and humid.

ROXY flowers are tough to shoot because you need to remain motionless and they have to remain motionless . your flower pic is in very soft focus almost blurry probley from both of you moving.. you can try a tripod on a windless day or put the camera on the fastest speed possible for the light that day and let the camera pick the matching lens opening. having a macro lens will help.

if the camera has a histogram watch the exposures as reds blow out so easy i always shoot them at a -2/3 exposure compensation.

watch depth of field, your lens opening determines how much of the background and flower will be in focus. a small number will blurr the background, a larger number will keep more in focus

heres some examples: 1st picture uses a large number( small lens opening ) 2nd picture a small number ( big lens opening) note the difference in how far back focuse goes

Oh my those flowers are beautiful, you can almost smell them. Thanks for the tips. I have a digital camera and dont have any clue how to use it. I dont have a tripod, but as I said before I would love to take photography lessons. Maybe a good thing for you to do is teach photography!
