Don't know about that but I am always amazed that new members with very few posts feel just fine about posting discourteous or downright disrespectful messages.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Both are new members, and both have the same chip on their shoulder.

IDK but I have lived in OKC all my life and I love it. It is a god fearing good place to raise a proper family. Not sure what progressive means but there has been a lot of progress as far as development goes. Especially after we have a major tornado come through which is pretty common place nowaday; especially with global warming. Whatever ends getting ruined is replaced with something new and improved most of the time. And what ever your religion is we have plenty of great churches to accommodate you are your kin. Oh and the food is here is simply to die for. Especially if you like noodling you can catch some gourmet cats the size of your dog all day long. I love it here and cannot see why anyone else would not.

You should check out www.cap28okc.com! We might have something your looking for size and price wise! Plus you are close to everything that everyone above has mentioned! The cool thing about OKC is its small enough you can live a couple of miles outside of the downtown area, but still be really close. I highly recommend it!

As I said, I visited for the graduation of a relative who comes from a very religious, fundamentalist, Pentecostal family. She was graduating from a school that was the same. Oral Roberts University.

I did not get a "city tour" and to be fair, (to both myself, and to Tulsa) I was not a tourist.

There are some beautiful, stately and quaint colleges and universities. ORU has to be one of the ugliest campuses I have ever seen. Horrible architecture. Sorry. ORU - not cute. People were also unfriendly. I don't know how much of the city ascribes to that brand of Christianity, but as a group, I found them judgmental and unfriendly. That could be the religion - or the region. I don't know. I generally find southerners to be friendly.

Celebrating at a "Chick Filet"?(sp?) Not cute. Chain hotel? Not cute. Not quaint. Not my idea of a graduation party. I'm sure there are better places to eat in the city, but these relatives were worried that the restaurant might serve alcoholic beverages.

I'll look at your pictures, though. I always enjoy exploring pretty, charming and CUTE cities.

Thank you for posting them!

I've traveled in many places in this world and have never seen a cute city, although in Iceland I saw some cute villages.

I totally agree ORU campus is hideous! That area of town is, for that matter. The links above are great and really give you a better idea what our fabulous city has to offer. Its a shame you didn't have more time or information to see the other parts of town, the unique architecture, quaint shops, funky neighborhoods, etc. I love Tulsa.

The futuristic design of ORU was pretty cool for a few years.

I get the impression that the guy who was the illustrator for the Jetson's was the same guy who was the architect for ORU.
