I'd say the newspaper is about the best bet. I looked in the classifieds and I saw a few places available, about what I would expect. More rentals will be available at the end of the school year for ECU.

I'm sure there are home rentals available in Ada, it is my birthplace and whenever I go back I see houses for rent. Peggy is right; just check the classifieds and make calls, you will be fine.

if its like alot of smaller towns...driving thru neighborhoods and looking for rent signs is good bet, plus if ya do it on a weekend, ya get good idea what neighborhood is like, busy, quiet, etc, also, dont forget to check your grocery stores, laundrymats, etc, any place that will have a billboard to post notices on, might find something, as well as craigslist.com if availble there, and as a last resort...do what we did when we arrived in TN, ask some good'ol folks around town, you would be surpised how many will know "someone or someplace" that is for rent but isnt advertised. best of luck, im moving back hopefully end of May, not sure where yet, but hoping to find a nice rental, really best to see in person, dont recommend to you to rent un-seen, check papers day or two prior to arrival and make appt to view when ya get there. welcome to Oklahoma hon!!!!

I relocated here in March. Rental property was scarce. It seems the houses avaliable where either "Crack Houses" or places that where way out of line price wise. I ended up buying,

Geez, that sounds scary. I hope Ada is not turning into a meth capital or something.

There is quite a bit of meth in the area, but FFA and 4H are both active. I would have NO problem raising a kid where you have a good FFA or 4H program.

I had an appraiser in class this past week from the Ada area. Seems like a REALLY nice guy who contributes a lot to his community. DM me with the specifics of what you need and I will contact him and see if he knows of a good (trustworthy) Realtor in the area.
