This is an age old argument. But I suppose if you are playing the part of a Goomba from NYC/Long Island on TV... it might be perceived that Tulsa is in the southwest. In reality it is sort of where the south/midwest/ great plains converge.

OKC might be considered a bit on the edge of the southwest but in Oklahoma you really have to be in Lawton in the SW part of the state before you see anything resembling the southwest from a geographical standpoint.

Would lower Midwest be more accurate?

Some might say that, but a lot wouldn't. It's really an odd spot as far as trying to pigeonhole it. OKC as well, but Tulsa just really doesn't fit anywhere.

This has started multiple long threads on this board and nobody agrees.

People in Tulsa generally consider themselves to be in the midwest.

I'd pretty much say mid-south.

Well, back on topic. I saw a photo of that MC building with the stain glass windows. That looks kinda Paris-ey to me.

Then, it must be called the Paris of the Southern Midwest. Detroit was once deemed the Paris of the
West. It them became known as the Paris of the Midwest. To simplify things, I would probably rename it the Paris of the Northern Midwest and leave it at that, unless other contenders for the other quadrants (East and West) come forth and claim their titles. But, even then, Tulsa and Detroit could keep their titles.

Incidentally, Paris, Ontario is the Paris of Ontario, and Paris, Texas is the Paris of Texas.
