Just to keep y'all informed, Born to Fly is on her way to OK! She left around 4 AM this morning, expects to be moving into her apartment on Wednesday. I know we all wish her good luck and a safe trip.

Thanks!! We're almost there! About 5-6 hours tomorrow and that's it. Tonight, I'm gonna get some R&R in before more driving, the moving-in, getting my uncle to his hotel and situated for his flight back to Maine thursday, etc.

Can anybody tell me... how long does it take and how hard is it to get an Oklahoma license? I'm hoping to make that my next order of business.

Its pretty easy to get a drivers liscense. Go to the one in Mustang. It is faster than all the ones in OKC. It is in the shopping center behind Arby's at the intersection of Mustang road and HWY 152.

You can only get tags at that agency. They don't do drivers licenses there. We live in Mustang, and had to go to the agency in Yukon to get our licenses.

Welcome to Oklahoma. I think you'll like O triple C. I graduated there in '90 and my daughter just graduated there 2 months ago. (God! I'm old!). It's pretty laid back and they offer a lot of interesting courses for fun.

Thanks again everyone for the welcomes and the info.

I have a small concern that maybe someone can help me with... I haven't seen anywhere that might be designated as a "Severe Weather Area" where I might go during a tornado warning. And trust me, I've been looking. I feel kind of stupid asking though. What sorts of places should I look for? Would OCCC have an area like that? I got a weather radio today, but that won't do me much good if I don't have anywhere to go when it goes off...
