Lincoln people trolling again, you sound jealous.

I live Omaha, I've never felt unsafe here although I do lock my doors at night and car during the day as you should in any big city. Crime is mostly concentrated on one area. We don't have smog and there's lots to do.

Werner Enterprises is based in Omaha, and they've grown to be one of the biggest trucking companies in the US. So yes, I think a trucking company will do fine here.

IntheO, yes...you DO have smog here! When I posted about it recently, you mentioned that it was fog, and I was probably confused that it was smog- but..it's smog, alright. Where I lived, it had both smog and fog, and you could definitely tell the difference- smog is generally out on the warm days, at least where you can really notice it, and you can see it a couple of blocks away-if you look up towards the sky, you can see where the "beige" ends, and the "blue" begins- I used to live in one of the top ten cities with the worst air quality in the country, and..yup- there is smog in Omaha! Of course, that's no surprise- it's quite a large city, and there are a lot of cars, etc. here- it happens!

Rezfreak, have you ever been downtown in the last 26 years? The smog is located in the city, and it's most definitely there. In my opinion, it's a mix of smog and cigarette smoke, but the haze could be from the car exhaust and the smell could be from the cigarette smoke.

Again with the cigarette smoke crap? Seriously? Cities in Spain where almost everyone smokes don't even have the problem, because it doesn't exist. And no, we don't have smog. I've never seen anything like what you described Mostie.

Since Mostie posted on another thread that being from California where humidity is virtually non-existent, and the humidity in Omaha was a new and unpleasant experience...i wonder if the "smog" they are experiencing is actually the humid haze that we all know so well?

^Agreed. People saying Omaha has smog is ludacris. LUDACRIS!
Every city has a degree of emissions in the air, but smog? Not in Omaha.
