I thought El Toro was annexed to the City of Tustin. Any clarification?

Does state law require that cities be contiguous? Could Huntington Beach annex part of north Orange County?

I don't know if state law requires cities to be contiguous but I don't think I've ever seen a non-contiguous city here. Regardless, Tustin has nothing to do with El Toro.

Ha, I was just looking at photos of that place on Flickr's Orange County Archive's photostream. It was in/near Newport Beach.

What do I know. I'd barely turned eight. But I remember either Geronimo III or Chief Push-ma-ta-ha. That memory certainly outlasted the ranch. But then again, I never considered Irvine to be a real part of Newport Beach anyway!

I like the name.
And probably had to do with attracting a higher number of white people. Just a guess.

Oh, sorry - I think I got that confused with the former MCAS facility in Tustin, which is separate from the former MCAS El Toro. Got it.
