I haven't been to Orange County in a while. I am looking for a good city to make home.

I'd like to live as close to the ocean as possible so I can surf. I'm sure it's more expensive but the extra cost of housing would probably make up for the gas I save driving 5+ times a week. But unit is that much more I am open to living inland.

I wouldn't mind living on a sailboat if that is possible. I dont know how the makes availability is do I. Just theowing that put there as an option.

I have a truck license so please keep that type of work in mind.

I have a dog.

Otherwise safety is my main concern. I want to be able to go anywhere in my neighborhood at anytime and feel safe. I got a bit scared reading the threads on the inland empire forum. Didn't realize gangs were so prevalent even outside east and south LA.

Let me know if you need more information about my situation. To help me find the best fit or if you think somewhere outside of OC would be better. Thanks.

Dana point does have one of the best surf spots in Southern California. It also has a marina. What are one bedroom prices like these days for something very small.

What is your housing budget?

You are a truck driver? Does that mean you can pretty much live anywhere?

Married? Kids?

Not married. No kids. Hoping to get a local truck driving job now that I have two years of experience. I know alot of the local jobs are either around long beach or Fontana.

Minimal or No live aboard space in Dana Point, Long Beach or Newport Beach.

Absolutely none in Huntington Beach.
Your best bet is trying the Docks in Wilmington (where you may also find driving work). No exactly the prettiest place to live.

No Wilmington. I'd be better off just not living in California.
