No you're not wrong. Thats the affordability ceiling. We're starting to plateau. It's because we are running out of people who can afford these high prices. Won't happen. Feinstein admitted 2 times, months apart, there is NO evidence presented that involves Trump or anyone else. Last time to Wolf Blitzer on CNN and he wasn't happy with the answer.

Prices are artificially high due to low rates and low inventory. Prices will eventually retract back but who knows how much or when. With that said, buy if you plan to make it your home. If you're buying hoping to sell for a huge profit in the near future, I wouldn't take that bet. I'm looking for a home and I've been outbid so far. I'm not willing to overpay at today's prices. Buy what you can comfortably afford, don't stretch yourself out. As for the political discussion going on, people live in their own bubble nowadays. They watch the news that caters to their own beliefs. Trump=Fox, Obama=CNN. Trump firing the FBI director that is investigating whether or not you were involved in colluding with the Russian govt doesn't look good. No smoking gun so far but Comey hasn't spoken publicly since his firing.
