You know Larry I agree most Christians, and for that matter, most everyone in Oregon is pretty decent. I'm not sure I quite follow the last part of your post, but that's okay, I don't get a lot of things.

Those ambulance chasers are the reason many get through the hard times.

People get through hard times via inner strength, that the hardship awakens...not from something or someone external. At least that is how is has always been for me. Someone may say something that contributes to my healing or I may read something that contributes, but in the end it is me who must set aside my egos desire for things to be different, and accept the way things are. Until acceptance takes place, healing does not ocurr.

From a visitors view (I've been in Portland over a month from the Midwest) there is definitely not as much Christianity in this city as in all other larger cities I have visited in other states. I'm not arguing with statistics or anyone on the forum, this is only my own observation. It's also my observation that the people here seem to be much more friendly and "live and let live" which is extremely refreshing.
I love this city and the state of Oregon, sadly I only have a week left here.

I will never understand why so many "Live and Let Live" are afraid of Jesus Christ.

The egoic mind wants to understand everything and suffers ongoing dis-satisfaction, whereas the heart simply accepts what is and enjoys the experience of Peace.

Just returned from church. Well attended, and I think many who went to church today were satisfied with their Christianity.

Ambulance chasers are the vultures who think they are going to get a death bed conversion.
