I imagine that if I could smell that pomade today it would trigger many fond memories, although I preferred the less-flowery Amber Brilliantine. (Vitalis and Stephan's had an alcohol odor, but Wildroot was OK.) I do remember how annoying it was when that hair oil would trickle down my neck and forehead. Maybe I used too much.

My scalp was rescued - to some degree - when Brylcreem appeared on the scene with its clean-smelling aroma. I've heard that some users inadvertently applied this product to their toothbrushes until they became accustomed to having a non-toothpaste tube in the cabinet.

My great grandparents live next to the house I was born in and ran a wallpaper business there.
Original Wallpaper paste was not much more flour and water mixed.
