Sorry, but no. Cross-posting here!

The early TV sitcom Mary Kay and Johnny was the first television series to portray a married couple who slept in the same bed.

As I said previously: Who?

On American TV, who was the first husband and wife shown sharing a bed?

BTW, I know it isn't nice to say, but Fred and Wilma weren't real people...

WOW. With every trivia situation I'm in, the conventional answer has always been the Flintstones ... and it's wrong! Mary Kay and Johnny in 1947. I never even heard of them. Fascinating. Thanks Tek_Freek. I'll have to bring this one back to my trivia experts. Amazing.

As I read that I kept thinking, "What station was that? I've never heard of it." and, of course, "Who?"

They got it done before everyone got uptight about it.

I remember going to someone's house with my friends after school to watch this trippy new children's TV show called "Sesame Street."

I'm getting older when I can remember:

1. I remember not having cable t.v. until I was 15 years old.

2. Not having a remote control until I was 15 years old.

3. The old Tootsie Roll commercial ("whatever it is I think I see...Becomes a Tootsie Roll to me")...remember that cartoon commercial???

4. When Nolan Ryan was with the Houston Astros.

5. When Terry Bradshaw was still playing football.

6. I remember when Ricky Nelson was killed in that plane crash (New Year's Eve 1985).

7. I remember when Ronald Reagan was almost assassinated (the shooter was John Hinckley, Jr.).

8. When Mary Lou Retton was a gymnastics champion in the '84 Olympics.

9. When Willie Nelson and many other artists were playing a concert called Farm Aid.

10. "We Are The World" came out.

11. The space shuttle blew up (with Christa McAuliffe was on board).

12. Aerobics (Jane Fonda aerobics) was a popular way to lose weight and get toned.

I am so old I remember the movie, 'The Outlaw' starring Jane Russell. My cousins and I were not allowed to go to the movies to see this picture. At the time it was thought to be way to risque for youngsters.

I remember when Nolan Ryan came up as a rookie with the Mets ... and that infamous day when the Mets traded him (and three other players) for Jim Fregosi! What an awful deal that was!

I remember my girlfriends and I going to the movies for about eighteen Friday nights in a row to see that cute blond guy in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
(The other guy was too old)
