Dog poop: Years ago an old man who lived only two doors down from me always let his dog poop in our yard and never picked it up. One day I had had enough of this, so I went outside with two paper plates and scooped the poop on one with the other. Then I walked down to his house and set the paper plates, uncovered, on his front porch where he would see them. Not pleasant for me, but hey, I wanted to make my point clear. I knew he was watching me do this, also.
It turned out I only had to do that once. No words were exchanged between us, but I also never saw anymore of his dog's poop in my yard.
We spend all summer inside the house with the a/c on just to cool down and enjoy the day. Now that fall is around the corner and the outdoor temps have cooled down ~ someone in the area has a fire-pit burning wood. The outdoor temps are only in the low 70’s and it was sooooooo nice to have the windows opened in the house and let the cool breeze blow in with the fresh smell of desert plants blooming; but now we get the odor of a fire instead. All that can be done is close up all the doors & windows and let the house heat up inside. Sad! I can't live down wind from smoky fires and enjoy the cool evenings.
A certain cable provider has decided, without telling us, to make a certain classic movie channel more expensive to obtain, by upgrading it another tier. Suddenly the channel is gone. No notice, no nothing.
In order to resubscribe, we have to pay for the next tier which is a sports channel we do not want.
We have begun to reevaluate our relationship with this cable provider. It might be time to cut the cord, but doing so creates other problems that have to be solved.
Why can't the plastic caps be just as strong as the plastic bottles - ie, syrup, spices. For some reason. The manufactuer's of said products do a thin bow tie like attachment on the caps. Continual opening/closing causes that little flap piece to bend and then one end breaks and within a short period of time, the other end breaks off as well.
While at it. Wish the recycling number on the triangle symbol was easier to read. They should maybe do a darker color on clear rather than clear on clear. Sometimes you even need to bring out the magnifying glass to even determine if it's a recyclable or not.
One of my fave bottles of Snapple was on the top shelf but so far back that even 5’6” me with fairly long arms and a toe step on the bottom metal shelf did not help. No one around to ask. Hung around for a few minutes even. Not going to go up and down the aisles to try and track down store rep.
Pffffttttt, Store lost sale on that one.
I can see how hard that would be for some in the chairs, although I have seen some [from a distance] get up out of them to get an item off the shelf and have been close enough to others to assist.
^^ Attention, asstance needed on the Snapple aisle.
Well,at least nothing fell to the ground and broke. Then it would’ve been “Cleanup in the Snapple aisle”
