An old neighbor who moved out of town had passed away. His wife can’t figure out what to do with many different problems here in our neighborhood and selling the old house on the street. Sad but she is dysfunctional and simply doesn’t know up from down. No one at her new neighborhood seems to be able to help her that and no one here want’s to step into the problem.
Fortunately her son (they don’t get along at all for years) has stopped by our house and we’ve talked about what can be done and how to proceed. It’s going to be difficult as there are some major problems with the old house that must be addressed before they can sell it.
The best part is that the son has become a very good person who will step up and help. He and his wife are very nice people. We know him from when he was in grade school so it’s nice to see how well he has matured into adulthood. We hadn't seen him for years. We had a very good visit and I think the problem is moving forward has been resolved.
My friend who died left me a little money. It's not a life altering amount, but she gave me money. She had a brother, sister, and plenty of friends... I'm a bit surprised. The mail comes late here, and I just read the letter a little while ago. I'm tearing up a bit.
Hey, AksarbeN, now I don't have to wait for you to win the lottery to buy a really good pair of winter boots.
I don't watch much TV, but it was really getting to me. No more political robocalls on my home phone, either.
Amen!! I accidentally figured out how to keep political messages from being left on my answering machine. I left our fax machine on to receive some paperwork we were waiting on, once a fax signal was received by the robo caller they didn’t call back.
