Sneaky people. I work in a corporate office (smal) and everyone has been here forever. I'm the newbie (4 yrs) and crawled up the chain relatively quickly. I get thrown under the bus because my equal here (finance director) is buddy buddy with our boss (controller) whom makes it TOP PRIORITY to investigate any potential mistakes I've made while everyone elses go 'unnoticed'. It makes it so weird in the kitchen getting a glass of water and nobody says a word...

IMHO, no. He's unionized and likes to remind me every five minutes about his rights...then I remind him of what our rights as employers are under the contract. He's immature.

It's all a matter of who has the darkest brown on the end of thier nose. It's sickening. Then they wonder why I give them attitude... Sheesh.

That's why I gave up the "real" world for farming!

Corn, tomatoes and beans don't give you much attitude and if they don't live up to their potential, it's the tiller for them.

I feel for you. Makes for a very tough situation. Small workplaces can be very cliquey, and when people have been there forever; they tend to forget about when they were the newbie.

It was necessary for me to make a couple of phone calls to service agents about a billing issue. After calling the first time and getting little or no information I tried again by calling back. This time I got another agent but she seemed to have total knowledge of the issue and the products along with the pricing. It was so pleasant to with the second person and get facts and information. On both calls I asked the person where they were located and the first one was in Utah, the second was in Canada. I was so disappointed with the call agent in Utah and so pleased with the one in Canada. Makes me wonder what is wrong with the American public school system. It stands out all the time as being less than what other countries have just from listening to people talk and communicate.
