and that I can get the kids to carry their own stuff!
I got DD a little backpack when she was about 2 (maybe a little younger). I was tired of having to carry my purse and a diaper bag (and occasionally a sleepy child), so I got her her own little backpack and started making her carry her own stuff including diapers, etc. Once she started carrying it, she suddenly didn't need to bring as much stuff with her. And I think it helped motivate her with potty training because she was mostly potty trained very soon after. lol

Geez. num....kid probably is confused and wondering if she's human or a pack mule. Since, you know, that's what mules are for. And by putting a pack on a child, she might as well be an animal.
If we start judging parents by whether or not they take their toddlers to Disneyland then I could be in a heap o' trouble. "But Judge! My parents took me to Disneyland when I was a toddler. I didn't know any better. Don't throw away the key! Nooooooooooo..........."
