I am now obsessing on this Disneyland thing. I need to find out if it's just taking kids to Disneyland that ruins them for life or simply exposing them to Disney. If it's the latter I may be denied visits with my as yet un-born grandchildren. (Or would that be yet to be born grandchildren?)

OK Got to think about other things.

Most excellent thread, Zimbo. I predict some lengthy arguments. Popcorn for everyone!

Either way, my kids are doomed. I had DD at Disney at 2 1/2 and DS at probably about the same age. We also owned most of the available Disney movies on VHS....I probably should have the therapist on speed dial.

I'll handle the popcorn. DD has been saving up ro get her Daddy a tabletop old fashioned popcorn maker for Father's day.

Like this:

Popcorn is their thing. They love to cuddle up an eat popcorn while watching a movie.

Popcorn is one of the best things in life. Microwave popcorn is a tool of the devil IMO. Real popcorn is popped in a pan, with oil and topped with real butter. Otherwise why bother. sigh. When I was single it was a staple for dinner. Even when the kids were little and DH would be gone on a business trip. Dinner was popcorn on a paper plate, with some in-season fruit cut up, watching a Disney movie in the VCR..... I'm going to h-e- double hockey sticks for sure. <sigh>

ETA - rkb - that wind blew a deck chair off the deck. Not a cheap plastic chair either. A heavy, swivel rocker type chair!

Boogers. I just ate a bowl of microwaved popcorn out of a POTC* bowl. I'm going straight to .

LOL - I'm just a weirdo when it comes to popcorn...I won't eat microwave popcorn but will eat a bologna and American cheese (deli style though not anything called "cheese food product" and individually wrapped) sandwich on white bread....go figure...

I still wonder WTF my mom was thinking when she fed me bologna and ketchup sandwiches! Wheat bread, at least! We do eat micro popcorn here. I haven't checked for wind damage, but all of our sunflowers were cut/chewed off last night. I blame the deck bunnies. Good thing they're cute.

LOL at bologna and ketchup. I remember eating (and liking) liverwurst and butter! Can you imagine how much fat is in that? And on Wonder Bread! Of course that was back when I was tiny and underweight and everyone was concerned about that.

Another thing I remember is fried bologna....I spent the night at a friend's house and her mom fed us fried bologna sandwiches the next day....

mmm... Fried twinkies. A heart attack on a stick. Oh but they are yummy.

Sorry. I heard fried and for some reason fried twinkies jumped into my head.
