Why do people come to the 'Parenting' Forum to complain about the way a pregnant woman holds her stomach?? It's ridiculous.
Is it that it starts out in another forum . . and then ends up here?
Or just stirring the pot?
I mean, I'm not over in the "Pet" forum talking about how I hate people with dogs.
I can only imagine the reception I would get with that opening statement. But I guess we're supposed to be ok with everything everyone hates about pregnancy, parents, children, parenting . . . .
lol they would hunt you down and kill you. Those dog lovers are no joke.
Oy vey! My sister in law is a born again Christian and now we ALL get to hear about our souls resting in eternal hell fire because we're not. *mute button*
I think that's sad CM3. I don't understand how someone can be so fired up and happy about something, then end up turning the people they love the most, against the very thing they're so in love with. Nothing tastes so bitter as that which is being forcefully shoved down your throat, no matter HOW sweet it is.

I cradled my stomach to help either shift the baby, move its bottom or foot if it was sticking in my ribs or sometimes there would be a "sore spot" where the baby had laid too long and the skin there feels like it does after its burned. Even ur shirt rubbing on it would hurt.
As for saying "we're pregnant" I liked to include my husband. They feel helpless usually as it is when ur pregnant because you're doing most of the work so I wanted him to feel like he was still part of it and contributing even though I was the one carrying..
Such a silly thing to be annoyed about.. If /when you have ur own pregnancy u may do things that others find odd. Until then don't judge
And, if you have, for instance, a sore wrist or calf muscle, you don't occasionally rub it?
Im not talking about the rubbing, they dont appe3ar to be in pain when they do this.

I suppose people do #1 out of love, discomfort or maybe to put attention on the life in their stomach.
#2 I think it's great that an expectant father would be in tune with the mother's pregnancy. It shows that he's actually involved and I don't see that as a bad thing (though I believe if I were around it too much it would probably get annoying).
The only thing that annoys me about pregnant women is when I work with one and have to take on extra work that they can't do, yeah that's annoying but nothing I can't deal with. Call me crazy but I don't even get annoyed with constant FB updates on pregnancies and/or new babies.
