Alex van Halen, as an adult, bragged about having lost his virginity at age 9. He clearly isn't dead, nor even particularly deviant in any way that's not inseparable from being in a hard rock band.

Whatever your imaginary sky-daddy said to some drugged-out scribes in the Bronze Age doesn't really mean a lot to the progressive mind. Your psychotic god, for what it's worth, ordered the Israelites to massacre all the men, women and boys of the Midianite tribe, but told them to keep the virgin girls for themselves (Numbers 31). (I can hear Dana Carvey: How conveeeeenient.") Wonder what they kept them for--rollicking games of Trivial Pursuit?

I have to admit, your big words and fancy sentences sound good. Your wit definitely counted FOR you. But if you really read your posts and really think about what you are saying you can see it's nothing of importance.

Sex with a child IS disgusting and should be punished to the highest extent of the law.

I understand that this child could be lying. However not likely.

You love to get people going. Not going to happen.

Lots of things are disgusting. We've been evolving toward the view that what is called the "ick factor" should not be a standard of what's criminally punishable. Some of us are a little further behind the curve than others in realizing this.

I never said word one about the child lying. I don't need to rely on that theory to defend anything I said.

Actually, I don't love to. But when I meet people with loud opinions from what I call the Oprah-Dr. Phil-WalMart demographic, it just seems to happen.

The elementary schools here are through the 5th grade. The average age of a 5th grader is 11.

"During questioning by detectives, the boy told them that he was in love with Watring and that they had had sex on two separate occasions in her home." If the boy was ten, what exactly is included in his definition of "having sex"?

Come on, lynch mob. Tell me exactly what this woman did, that the boy did not incite or encourage her to do. What is your source? What is your evidence?[/quote]

the boy incited?!?!?! encouraged?!?!?! okay, so now a child can entice an adult? It is the child's fault? wow.... I never thought that I'd hear that outside of some TV show about pedifiles.

Yes, except that it has been that way all along. People can be in denial all they like, but it happens.

I don't watch Oprah or Dr Phil but I sure do like a good price on diapers at Walmart! They're like $4 cheaper than most stores!

You don't need to be a specific demographic to know that sex with a child is wrong. But I guess the "I use big words and think I'm smart and like to debate and make no sense" demographic thinks differently.

It CAN be ok to have sex with a teenager. It's wrong and pretty twisted to have sex with a tween (I don't see it as rape however in many cases) and it is always wrong and severely perverted and devient to have sex with a PRE tween, young child, infant or baby.

So at what's your cut off djacques? 8? 4? As long as they don't say no or what? I'm curious.

I don't give a flying fig if the boy stripped down to his tightie whities to porn music chippendale's style.... it is not okay for the ADULT to take him up on the offer.

That goes with the theory that a girl (of age) is asking to get raped because she is wearing a particular perfume or a bathing suit or whatever the "turn on" is for the assaliant.

It won't matter what you say to this person. I'm just waiting to hear at what age is HIS cut off for sex. Can't wait to hear what he's got to say

You know that with all of the number of registered posters on City-data there is a good chance that a few have to be pediphiles. I'm starting to wonder about a couple posters myself. Educated or not, these certain posters responses leave me to think they have a screw loose somewhere.

I'm betting that the poster you are waiting for a response from is going to come back saying a legal age is their cut off, but in my gut and in my opinion it will most likely be a lie.

Do you consider it likely that all the "educated" people on CD also happen to be "pediphiles" (which you can't even spell.) Or could there be some other explanation that might be eluding you--like that uneducated people simply don't know what they are talking about?

Cut off for what, precisely? Moral disapproval? Losing their job? Probation? Prison? What exactly are we talking about?
