Dude. If you're semi-retired, try being fully retired. Find something to do that isn't about work. Unless you're creating a world-changing technology or something, you're pretty much able to walk away. Once you have that kind of net worth, you're not working to put feed the family. You're feeding a compulsion instead. The use of the term "middle of the pack" means you're concerned about all the wrong things in life.
MD, someone called him out in the Retirement Forum regarding what he wrote here about his financials. He shared a very different financial situation in that Forum. The poster said that what he wrote on this thread was just sarcasm.

Thanks for that. Oh, wait. There are people who just make up stories about their incredible wealth on an anonymous internet forum? That seems to have become pretty common over the past several posts.

You would think people would have better stuff to do than make stuff up on the internet.

True, but you never know these days. Here in the Bay Area (as you are well aware), you have 25 year old multi-millionaires, who just happened to get in with the right start up at the right time. Sure, its not the majority of the population, but its more common than you think.

Agreed. Certainly possible. But still pretty rare. And I tend to think those people are generally too busy with other things than to be commenting about it on CD. Of course, I could be wrong.
Age: 36
Married with 2 kids ages 6 and 1 (2 in May)
Income fluctuates but roughly $600k - $1.2MM per annum
Net Worth: $7.5MM
2 Homes both with 50%+ equity
Besides nice cars and watches I’m low key and mainly focus on investing in long term assets with bulk of investments 99% plus in stocks.

I like how you say your income fluctuates but is roughly x-2x with a 100% margin

Yes, my income does fluctuate that much. I sold my company 3 years ago and have earn outs that are several hundred grand. If performance is poor which it has been last year and likely this year I forego my earn out.
Why do I get the feeling that 90% of the respondants of this thread are male?.........
