I think because Comcast is more customer service oriented (which they have struggled in), it makes them more susceptible to hate.

I wish people would be slightly more appreciative that they have planted major roots in Philadelphia, they could have easily left for New York years ago.
Given that NBC is hqr'd in NY they kinda are already.

Depending upon what happens with the trade war, steel pricing, availability of it and other construction materials some of these projects may be stalled or may never happen. I can think of two announced projects right now where there is no physical evidence of anything going on: nw corner of 13th and Market(currently a parking lot) and the conversion of a parking garage on N. Broad St, south of Race.

Hence investing in them is evil or making money through them, as many retirees like me are doing, is participating in evil.

What I DO want them to do, though, is pay more taxes.
Profit=happiness=morality.

Anyways, the fact that Amazon will get away with whatever stunt it is trying to pull with its "HQ2" nonsense is an example. One of the worlds richest most and most prominent companies is holding cities (many are financially strapped) against the wall.

That garage on Broad project was first announced years ago, I think was just a dud, not a inclination of the larger picture.

The office tower at 13th and Market I assume you mean? Didn't the owner/ developer need substantial tenants before construction could commence?

And NBC isn't going anywhere unfortunately.

That is true. This Sheraton tower would probably compete more with Toll Brothers tower, and Scannepieco's new tower will compete with the Laurel.

I could see the Toll Tower starting in the $700k range, with most in the $1-2M bracket.

Since it's been nearly a year since that began it does, increasingly, feel like a stunt.

Nice article about Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran. They have created quite an empire.
