Our towers are so small. Build higher like Manhattan!

Same developer is building a tower near 37th & Chestnut in U City. That tower will be over 400'.

Remember that it's going to be built in North Philly and not Center City. The new tower will definitely stand out in that area.

It will stand out. But it is also ugly (as in Morgan Hall and almost all the residential buildings built there the last 10 years).

I'm not sure the words "luxury" and "Temple" should be in the same sentence. They've built a lot on North Broad but that area is still rough.

I can't think of a demographic that would buy a lux condo in that hood.

They're not buying luxe condos on the Avenue of the Arts right now, either (you will read about the weekend I spent in one soon).

So yeah.

That area is way nicer than Temple but even that has it's issues. My daughter had a gig at the Kimmel Center that shot overnight. The dystopian homeless drug addict scene she described was amazing. No cops to speak of. Even the center of the city, on it's marquee boulevard, can't overcome that.

Let alone Temple.

Broad Street Ministry does great work but they are a blight on the area. I rent out a condo at Broad & Lombard that I used to live in and loved the location besides this.
