I'm sure the colonists would be proud I had some voice training in broadcasting and ironed out my regional dialect...that and living in different states,I can emphasize whichever one I like that fits the situation...

A linguist would know I'm from Greater Philadelphia, but your typical person on the street would not. My natural dialect is fairly toned down. The only thing I ever consciously changed was my pronunciation of Morris ("Mahriss") et al. I was never a "Wooder" speaker.

What a lot of people don't know is that our region greatly influenced most of the country when it comes to spreading the rhotic speech pattern across the nation.
