ScratchNsniff and Candygirl39, I'm right there with you guys. I'm trying to buy a town house / condo, too. (Not ready for a single family home, yet. Something small and close to ASU, which can be rented is perfect for me for now).
I'm finding a lot of good stuff in Mesa near Mesa CC and around the Dobson Ranch area. It's safe there and you can buy something huge compared to what you can buy for the same price in Tempe and Scottsdale.
I'm finding many sellers are very unmotivated and keep dropping the ball on offers. I've been offering asking price but so far I'm 0 for 2.
Best of luck to you guys, my future neighbors!
