Damn first time woken up by a storm in as long as I can remember, it's been coming down hard for the past hour and looks to be just the start from the radar map...probably going to be some record rainfall, we're already at 2.36" at my house.

It woke me up as well!! Funny how rain is enough to get you out of bed in the sunshine state. I'm feeling for those poor people in the flood areas though, this is a lot of rain for them.

Yeah its been pouring pretty good here since about 2:00am, it's slowed down a bit though and is just a steady rain. We have two big streams running down the street towards the retention basin at the end of the street. I bet its going to get completely filled up. According to the forecast its supposed to keep raining pretty good to almost 3pm.

Been looking at the radar for the last few hours and it looks like the north side Carefree/Cave Creek/Anthem/New River is getting hit real hard. Here's one guy that is getting flooded out in Queen Creek.

On TV they showed a police car pushing a big green WM dumpster out of the road at 24th and Washington. Then he drove away, and while the reporter was talking the dumpster was on the move again.

I have a big river rock lined dry "pond" landscaping feature in the middle of my yard. It is full to overflowing, but fortunately overflows over the sidewalk to the street.

This is pretty serious flooding.

I wonder if employers should be telling their staff to stay home. Only ESSENTIAL employees should be out in this weather.

I'm glad my dog likes to swim, because my yard is a lake. It's about an inch away from threatening my house. It's so nice we are doubling our annual rainfall (at least in some places), but this is crazy.

I am in LA right now and missing the storm, probably need to call my neighbor to check on my house as it sounds bad.
