My friend's roommate, that is on welfare, talks about how horrible this mormon red state is. How Arizona takes more then a dollar from the government blah blah blah.

I'm republican and im not voting for the zombie choice of Mccain. I don't understand why people vote for the people on television? "oh he is rich, lets vote for him" more

Are people in this country this stupid?

Yes they are... i have to deal with them on a daily basis yay more

Yes, white faces make up only about 50% of the crowd, just like at the RNC. Get real.

Yes, it is dull as unbuttered toast. Please stay where you are.

It's hard to believe that some think there's no diversity here. There are quite a few areas where no English is spoken, and Spanish is the predominant language. Tempe has a very diverse culture, as does many parts of Phoenix. Maybe somebody can explain exactly what would be defined as "diversity".

Phoenix is boring like the Republican Convention??? Quite frankly, I find both major political parties and their conventions to be quite boring and redundant. How that compares to Phoenix is beyond me. I won't argue the fact that Phoenix needs to be more vibrant for a city of its size. The problem is that so many proposals are drafted, and even voted in favor of, but then they're delayed or scrapped for different reasons.

As a fellow Republican what other choice do you have? I do find it interesting when someone states they are a member of one political party and vote for the opposition. Maybe McCain isn't the best guy for the job, but the alternative is even less conservative.

As far as the diversity of the area, I find it very diverse. On Tuesday I was at Sky Harbor and most of the people working at the airport that I saw were of differing nationalities. People in many communities that I have visited are of a similar bent. Even in the South side of Scottsdale you will find people that are not white.
