I am looking to rent a house for a week (or maybe even just a partial week) during Spring Training. I read in a different thread that Arrowhead or Westgate were the best areas to access the most games. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find a house for rent in these areas? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't have any experience with VRBO, but they've been around for a while and tend to have a lot of listings

the area around arrowhead/westgate is a pretty good launching spot if you are just interested in spring training

it would put you within 20-30 minutes of the following stadiums:

camelback ranch (white sox/dodgers), peoria sports complex (mariners/padres), surprise stadium (rangers/royals), maryvale stadium (brewers) and goodyear stadium (reds/indians)

You would be about 40-50 minutes to scottsdale stadium, phoenix muni and tempe diablo

really the only valley stadium that would be hard to reach is hohokam out in mesa

The best area to rent depends on which teams you want to see. VRBO.com is where I would look. Try to get a place close to the stadium you'll be visiting.

We plan to visit as many different stadiums as possible over the time we are there, not one specific team or stadium. When I look at VRBO, I don't see Arrowhead or Westgate listed. Can someone please advise as to where they are or what neighborhoods/areas they are a part of? Thanks again.

Arrowhead and Westgate are both in Glendale. Arrowhead is a more established area with more housing, and would be a bit closer to Camelback Ranch and the Peoria Sports Complex; Westgate is a developing area near the Cardinals stadium, right near the 101 which would be part of your route to many of the ballparks.

Take a look at a map of the stadiums. You'll see that five are on the west side and four are on the east side. Towns that are close to the 101 would be good. Look at houses in Avondale, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix, Scottsdale, South Phoenix, Tempe. East side towns like Scottsdale will be pricier than West side towns like Avondale and Goodyear.

For most stadiums I like to buy the cheapest tickets available and find something better once the game starts.
