I received a ticket in September. I told my children not to answer the door. My Son forgot and the process server gave him the papers. Does this count? Should I now pay the ticket? The ticket is for $235 plus $25 process fee.

Thanks

How old is your son? If he's old enough to make it count, ("the language in the rule is a "person of suitable age and discretion", which can be a minor) you can pay the ticket, or go to traffic school. Cost usually ends up being similar. You can check into the costs online.

First a question, POd . . . did you violate the law and it is your citation?

If the answer is yes then PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY PANTS and pay the ticket or choose traffic school.

by the way, do you feel teaching your kids to hide from the process server is the proper approach and/or setting a good example for them to take into adulthood?

Yes, I bet you tell your kids to fess up to what they have done wrong and take the punishment they deserve. Actions speak louder than words.

Absolutely. Have fun in your big brother, socialist, communist world.

POd....

getting a photo radar ticket is not indicative of an impending takeover by socialists....I think you're angry (at yourself) because you got a ticket....and you did not mention innocence in your first post....

yes, these photo radar tickets are frustrating because they suddenly appear days later with no warning....no cop to talk it over with at the time.....

can't say you weren't warned....did you see the multiple "Photo Radar Enforcement Zone" signs?....

take it like a man and pay up

Seems you favor living in a country where they assume guilt first and overlook my second post where I replied, no to violating the law.

Sorry you can be a little push over and pay up, that is not me and other people willing to fight for a free country.

but people who accept this like is indicative of ever growing big brother mentality and more socialism. Have fun paying for multiple 6 figure salaried chandler city workers.

Not at all, but I am angry at people like you who take it like cattle at a slaughter house.

My wife got a bogus red-light ticket in Tucson from a camera. I wanted to fight it, but she just wanted to pay the fine and move on.
If it was indeed a bogus ticket, POd, I hope you fight it.
Maybe sometime soon these cameras will come down....

BTW, comments like "PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY PANTS" and "take it like a man and pay up" are real lame and judgemental.

Sorry, Ritchie . . . NOT lame and judgmental if POd did the crime. Remember, I asked that question up front.

If he did not commit the crime then follow the proper procedures to dispute the citation.

However, hiding from the process server is LAME and definitely not the proper behavior to endorse and teach kids.

Can you please explain what you were ticketed for, and why you are not guilty of it? Unfortunately, it is considered served, so you will have to fight it. I will try to help, but I need more details.
