Event shooting where you have no control over conditions and in virtual darkness

And Auto levels here with one stop added exposure:

It really didn't need too much, Nomad. I used the shadow tool to open up the shadows a bit. However the rider's face was still too dark, so I dodged it a bit and did the horses face while I was at it. I then bumped the curve slightly to add a bit more contrast. I spent about a minute or two tops on this.

Opened up the shadows, got rid of the wires, and the con-trail looking cloud thing. Tweaked the colors a bit...still not sure I like them. Might have cropped/tilted it a little more, but didn't want to cut off your logo.

For comparison I did it back from the start. 3 minutes or so. Slow but I'm old.

Another 30 seconds for the sky.

The logo would have been to the left had I been thinking originally and the rider in the back ground gone. The only reason I left the second girl is that the two are good friends and this was fun day for them. No competition stress that day. I really like what you saw and fixed. Good job.

And it shows what a good work flow can do for a studio where every image is taken under the same lighting with same camera and settings. I can't make it any better. Great job of post processing.

All I did was "Auto Levels and use "Selective Colors" to show a touch of lingering green in the grass. Then lightened it .75 of a stop.

One I never really messed with until today. See what you can do with it.. I did a minute fix up.

The boats needed to come in out of the dark.
