OK, the theme will be 'Moderator cut: see post below', but with the weather here in NC this week it feels more like fall!

I'm going to wait for others to weigh in on the other suggestions before we roll the contest out.

Maybe we could make flowers a theme later in the year?

Those of you up north - do you have cut flowers available in your area? I know this winter there were times when I really wanted to photograph some flowers, so I bought some and put them in a vase.

Even though it looks like I can't participate, I think that is a great idea, funny I was thinking about that as a theme. I think flowers would great for a future contest.

How 'bout "Still Life"? That way, the dead flowers (as in silk flowers) would count?

BTW, what would fall under "architecture"? Do front doors count as architecture?
