Really, in the 2nd paragraph the coroner said probable cause was starvation. If, however, it was the seeds, sounds like he'd rather poison himself than live in the city.

Either way, he'd rather head North.

Things are rarely as cut and dry as you might hope. And if you continue your metaphor, he fled the city to the North, ate the bounty the North had to offer, and soon suffered a slow and painful death.

You didn't quote my entire statement. Oh, they're extremely cut and dry...to those who are able to accept the truth, or actually know what they're talking about. You'd actually have to leave the city to know, though.
