My husband, children and I just returned from Pittsburgh recently. None of us have ever been there before. We fell in love with it. It is beautiful, charming, big city feel but very clean! The people were so friendly, and there is so much to do with children. We have been trying to find a city we'd want to move to- We definetly found it!

What ages are your kids and what did you find to do? We would like to visit soon and aside from the zoo and natural history museum could use soom tips.

Right now we live in Williamsport PA. There was lots going on, my kids are 3 and 5- there is a childrens museum and a really fun fountain to play in by the river(it was warm when we were there). They loved that! They loved the zoo and aquarium!

Yes. Pittsburgh is indeed an awesome city. I'll never forget how breathless I was when viewing the city skyline for the first time from atop Mt. Washington. Unfortunately I've never been to the very hyped and supposedly NYC-styled neighborhoods of Squirrel Hill and Shadyside in the city's East End, but those are two places high on my priority list for my next visit. Now if only I didn't live five hours away!

I always felt that the neighborhoods like S. Hill, Shadyside, and many many others are what makes Pittsburgh so charming.

I used to go to Summer Camp there near Williamsport. Wow the nature there is just spectacular. The place was just outside of Hughsville. Really - Picture Rocks, Loyalsockville, beautiful Mountainous places to visit, so many things to see. Just be sure to get your fill of it before coming in to Pittsburgh. Near you these things are all around you. In town there you'll be enjoying many more things urban. Not that there aren't parks and green spaces, they are there. Its just that it's the major resourse there in the Williamsport area.

I grew up in Loyalsockville- right along the creek. Spent the first 17 years of my life there. It is beautiful and I have enjoyed it immensly, but I am ready for a change. Pittsburgh is right up my alley.
