For being "progressive" and "open minded" people, they sure love to ban things.

Bottle water is nothing but a sham, we have some of the best tap water there is in the world. I have personally tested bottle water vs tap purity and they were exactly the same @ .23 here in the BayArea.

Water bottles have become a major source of pollution in the Pacific Ocean and Bay.

Then don't move to San Francisco.

And if you want to pay over a dollar for a bottle of water, have at it. Frankly, I don;t see the sense in it, when a simple charcoal filter attached to your faucet does the same thing.

So clearly disposable diapers need to be banned as well.

Those things you're mentioning there... They're CHOICES. It's hard to recognize them sometimes when you don't see a lot of them anymore.

^^ Yup don't move to SF, especially if you aren't even willing to understand what is going on with this surge in water bottles popularity.

Those of you that mock this ban, I ask:

Is it worth polluting the Pacific Ocean from SF to Hawaii so that you can drink bottled water?

Should our government appropriate millions of tax dollars to the clean up of these water bottles?

I didn't say that, but I do believe cloth are superior.
